Parking at the rear of the hotel was a bit tight, requiring careful maneuvering to secure a space. The ceilings in the cottage felt quite low, which posed a constant challenge for taller guests trying to move around comfortably. While the cottage had charm, those low ceilings was great.

Loved the location, it was wonderful and unbeatable near to the centre of Porlock, shops, pubs, post office and Porlock @ Myrtle Cottage. Dined at Piggy in The Middle, it was a 10-15 minute walk from the venue.

We found the location to be perfect, right in the heart of the village. The garden area provided a lovely escape, and the attention to detail in the decor added a unique charm that we appreciated.
The ceilings were rather low, which could be challenging if you're tall.

How quaint! But the low ceilings had me ducking constantly was great. I also noticed the halfhearted attempt to. Because i almost wrote a glowing review, but just couldn't.

The fresh cake and coffee upon arrival were good.
As a much taller person, I constantly had to duck, especially frustrating in a space that felt cramped. The entrance had a confusing setup, made navigating tricky, which wasn't what I expected from a supposedly charming cottage.

Couples Retreat for the discerning
The warm welcome from Tyrone and Neil was lovely, they really knew how to. We found good little surprises, like fresh milk and chocolates waiting for us in the room.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but honestly, worth every penny.

A little more parking space would be great, as it was quite tight.

I stayed in a Double Room and it was super comfy! The room was clean, nicely decorated, and spacious for an old building. Loved all the little touches that showed the owners care, like the homemade treats waiting for us. Breakfast was amazing too, full English with loads of options. Great vibe overall!
